“Red Sunset” is one of my favorites; this painting came completely from my gut, a vision that jumped out from inside me. I am fond of playing with light and reflections on water. “Red Sunset” with its’ strong red, orange and yellow is full of energy. It speaks to me when I’m in an intense frame of mind. “Sunset on Lake” is another one of my favorites; this painting also just burst forth one day - I just had to get it out. The blue, pink and purples combine all my favorite calm colors. I can’t decide between this and “Red Sunset” as to which one I like the most - it depends on what kind of mood I am in. Either way, I enjoy a twilight scene. Be it an ocean, lake or a pond, I am partial to water. “Lake” is on Mark Twain Lake, one of my favorite places in all of Missouri for fishing, swimming, boating and relaxing. The bluffs provide a cool respite from the sun on a hot summer day, for people and fish alike. Did I mention I fancy the water? “Beach” is a compilation of impressions from around Malaysia and the South China Sea. On the ocean, the sights and sounds of lapping water are most relaxing. “Willows” is another travel scene from a temple complex in China involving water, light and reflections. Hum, do you think I have a theme going on?
